Brig. Gen. Sulaiman bin Abd Al Rahman Dawood, the General Manager of Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh program, opened in the morning of Sunday corresponding 22 December 2019 the new expansion of the Central Sterilization Department in the presence of number of hospital officials.

Mr. Ali Yasin, the Director of the Nursing Administration, asserted that the new expansion of Central Sterilization Department aims at increasing the capacity of sterilization tools, affirming that this project contributes in the speed up of sterilization as per the highest quality and safety standards in accordance with the requirements of Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions.

Eng. YasirOufi, the Director of Engineering Affairs Administration, asserted that the new expansion promoted the operating power of Central Sterilization Unit to 56% than before. He said: “the tools tracking system, infusion of solutions system and automatic washing of trolleys were added and the areas allocated for the department was re-designed and it increased by 20%, taking into account the requirements of Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions and the international requirements, in terms of design and the control of infection with the change of all electric, mechanical and A/c devices”. 

Dawood inspected the workflow in the expansion of internal hemodialysis unit project through the round he took after opening. This comes as extension of many distinguished expansion projects in the hospital during the last period, including the inauguration of pain control clinic and the expansion of anesthesia department for men and women, for the sake of development of all services provided to patients from the employees of Ministry of Interior and the State Security Presidency and their families.
