The activities of 40th course of basic surgery skills was closed on Thursday 8 Rabi’ Al Akhir 1441 corresponding 5 December 2019 in the Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh which lasted for five days at the Prince Ahmad bin Abd Al Aziz Convention Center as Mr. Majid Salem, Assistant Director of Academic Affairs and Health Education, delivered the certificates of completion of certificate.
Dr. Saud Rashidi, the head of surgery skills centers in the Kingdom, asserted that the holding of this course regularly aims at promoting the efficiency of surgeons at the level of Kingdom and providing the highest security and safety standards for patients, affirming that it represents a basic source in the field of surgery and it provides the latest technical developments in the field of surgery all over the world.
Dr. Rashidi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the hospital’s administration, headed by Brig. Gen. SulaimanDawood, for its permanent and continuous support for the work of this session, stressing that the keenness and interest by the Administration of the Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh program actually contribute to raising the level of workers in their various specialties.
In addition, the coordinator of the basic surgery centers and the director of the Department of Continuing Medical Education, Ms. Hana Asiri, revealed that the number of attendees of the course has reached (30) resident doctors and interns, and the number of trainers reached (25) consultant doctors from the departments of surgery, gynecology, obstetrics and orthopedics.
It is worth noting that this specialized course is held for the third time in the hospital during the current calendar year, and is the 15th in the Kingdom, as it is accredited by the Saudi Commission ForHealthSpecialties by (30) continued medical education hours, which is the maximum of accreditation.
