Security Forces Hospital Program is considered one of the main portals among the group of providing health care services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Its inception began in the year (1972), when small dispensary was opened with small and very limited resources in Riyadh. Such dispensary was expanded in (1975) to become a hospital running 20 beds. After few construction phases, the number of beds reached to 678 beds. Also, several wards were opened, and extensions of other existing wards were made in addition to advanced medical equipment made available.

Through the mission of the hospital which aims at providing high quality and distinguished health services to individuals, it seeks and be committed to development and improvement of services quality as per the best international standards. The continuous development of the hospital is due to support of Allah and wise instructions and continuous support provided by HRH Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Saud Bin Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, minister of interior.​
